DeShawnna,15, is a 10th grader
at Flint Northwestern Academy and aspires to be a forensic scientist. She is
a member of the National Honor Society, and the girl's volleyball and
softball teams at school. She also plays clarinet and saxophone in the
school marching band. Her interests include participating in the choir and
youth group at the Living Word Ministry in Flint, and collecting stickers. |

Ardelia, 17, is a 10th grader
at Flint Southwestern Academy and
intends to pursue a career in business management and marketing. Her
interests include reading, writing, and singing. |

Cierra, 15, is a 10th grader at Mott Middle College is looking forward to a career as a veterinarian or physical therapist. Her interests include bowling, dancing, swimming, skiing, latch hooking, and airbrush painting. At school, she is an advanced dual enrollment student and participates in the band, peace jams, and she is an active volunteer. Her community activities include 4-H Capital Experience, the Chamber of Commerce Summer Youth Initiative, Florida A & M University band camp, Catholic Charities, Genesee County Humane Society, and the Mister Rogers Programs. |

Essence,15, is a 10th grader at Flint Northern High School and aspires to be an entrepreneur or business manager. She volunteers at the Flint Public Library. She is a member of the National Honor Society. Her interests include writing, singing, and beading.

Moreno, of Genesee Twp. has been selected as the Tyler,15, is looking forward to a career in law or psychiatry and she has a strong interest in singing and writing. At school, she participates in softball and other sports. She is a volunteer with the Empty Bowls program. |

Fredrick Simpson, Jr. , of Mt. Morris Twp. has been selected as the Judge Marable's Student of the Month for February 2009. Fredrick,16, is a Beecher High School student who aspires to be a chemical engineer, pharmacist or attorney. He participates in the mentoring and student council of the Beecher Scholarship Incentive Program, the Ecology Club, National Honor Society and track & field. He is active with the Michigan Youth Leadership and Upward Bound programs. His interest include singing, dancing, reading, writing, studying, learning, exercise and community service.

Swartz Creek High School student and is looking forward to a career as a
chemical engineer. She has a strong interest in dance and softball.
At school, she participates in the Science Olympiad, student council, serves
as a class officer, Key Club Band, and is in the Lions of Michigan All-State
Band. |

Ashley, 15, is a Swartz Creek
High School student who aspires to be a pediatrician. She plays in the
Key Club Band, volleyball, and softball. Other activities include
volunteer work with the library, the Drama Club, and her church. Her
interests include reading novels and writing short stories. |

Flint has been selected as the Domonique, 16, is a Flint 10th grader at Flint Southwestern Academy and is looking forward to a career as a lawyer or politician. He has a strong interest in reading, writing, research, politics, and music. He is a member of his church youth group and worship orchestra. At school he participates in the Student Council, quiz bowl team, marching band, concert band, and jazz combo. He participated in the National Youth Leadership Forum on law. |

Columbiaville has been
selected as the Alison, 15, of Columbiaville attends Lakeville Memorial High School. She intends to pursue a career as a chemical engineer. She is involved in band, solo, and ensemble, Student Council, quiz bowl team, drama productions, and the Girl Scouts where she serves as co-leader of a junior scout troop. Her interests include music, theatre, reading, crafting and swimming. |
